Artist performances :

Naga Chaitanya has given a mature performance yet again and though he could have shown subtlety and emotion during sensitive scenes, overall it is a good job from him. Samantha looks very nice and even her performance is remarkable for a debutante. She has confidence, poise and good screen presence. Krishnudu came up with some humor, Surekha Vani was normal, Devan made his presence felt though briefly, Puri Jagannadh was himself, Sanjay Swarup was average, the others didn’t have much to offer.

  2. Screenplay
  3. Single shot scenes
  4. Visual effects
  5. Content execution

Minus points :

  1. non-situational songs

Movie - Highlights

  1. AR Rehman clean bowled every one with his songs. Goutam Menon did real ‘maya’!! second half is better than first half and the magic worked till the last.
  2. This movie gives strength for new writers those pen scripts with honesty deep from their hearts.
  3. The cinematographer brings Kerala right into your theatres, music is good.
  4. Naga Chaitanya plays his role of a man hopelessly in love and at the same time yearning to make it in his career.he will do wonders in the future.
  5. Music by AR Rehman is amazing in this movie
  6. Dialogues by Anuradha are extremely natural and Modish.
  7. Ye Maya Chesave movie should do extremely well in multiplexes and A centers.
  8. Production values by Indira Productions are impeccable.
  9. YMC Realy refreshing romantic story.
  10. ‘Kundanapu Bomma..’, “Ee Hridayam.. “ are good.

Analysis :

The film is basically a mature romantic treat and given the depth of feelings, it strikes the raw nerve of many who have been through a similar experience in real life. While the first half is on the lighter side of emotions, things get intense during the second half and unknowingly, the audience gets dragged into the story. This is high on technical values and production aspects so departments like cinematography, screenplay, editing are masterly. This clubbed with mature performances has given a new appeal to the movie. On the commercial aspect, the film will appeal big time to the A-class audience and given the experience of the movie, perhaps the masses can also pick up a straw or two.

Ye Maaya Chesave. Great chemistry between the young star couple, great visuals, nice songs, and heart touching scenes really grab you. It is simple but sensitively, Watch this film for the way Goutham Menon tugs at your heart strings with his visual poetry and simple dialogues. Watch it once, you won’t mind watching it again and again...........
